FocusForge Terms of Use

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using FocusForge (“the app”), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

We may revise these Terms. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised version where permitted by law.

2. What the App Provides

FocusForge is a personal productivity timer that helps you run timed focus sessions, track statistics, unlock hour milestones, and export optional certificate PDFs. Core features include:

Focus timer — Pomodoro-style sessions with pause, resume, and completion tracking;
Statistics — local 14-day charts and focus tag breakdowns;
Milestones — progress toward 10, 25, and 50 total focus hours;
Certificates — optional PDF exports using free or unlocked templates;
Forge Shop — consumable in-app coin packs that unlock optional digital content (themes, celebrations, templates, quest packs).

FocusForge is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any health condition, including ADHD, anxiety, or sleep disorders. It is not a substitute for professional advice.

3. Data on Your Device

No user account or sign-in is required. Your focus data is stored locally on your device in version 1.0 and is not synced to our servers. You may use Delete All Data in Settings to permanently remove all local data on that device.

You are responsible for maintaining device security (passcode, backups).

4. In-App Purchases

FocusForge offers consumable coin packs processed by Apple. Coins unlock optional digital content only. Important rules:

Coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash or goods outside the app;
Coins are stored on this device; reinstalling the app may result in loss of unused coins;
Consumable purchases are generally not restorable across reinstalls;
Focus minutes and milestones cannot be purchased with coins or real money; and
There are no auto-renewing subscriptions in version 1.0.

All billing is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms. Refund requests must be directed to Apple.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the app, attempt to circumvent focus tracking rules, reverse engineer the app except where law permits, or use the app for unlawful purposes.

6. Intellectual Property

FocusForge, including its design, code, trademarks, and content, is owned by us or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.

9. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law or app store policies.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in your place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protections apply.
